I have Forty-one years of industrial management in the private sector – thirty-seven years at US Magnesium in Tooele County

I have managed multi-million dollar budgets for 35 years (up to $50 MM) and crews of up to 220 individuals.

I am experienced in developing working teams that work with people with different backgrounds and perspectives

I have substantial experience in dealing with government regulation and significant experience dealing with legal proceedings and navigating conflicts​

Experience
Tooele County Service
-
I was a major contributor in the design of the flood control plan for the west side of the Tooele Valley that was implemented by the County in 2011 and averted major flooding problems.

I served on the Tooele County Hospital Board from 1990 to 1995; three years as Finance chairman

I served on the Tooele Applied Technology College Foundation Board from 2002 to 2005

I served on the Tooele County Health Department from 2012 to 2014

I served on the USU Tooele Campus Advisory Council from 2012 to 2014

I served on the Tooele Valley Mosquito Abatement District from 2008 to2011, and again from 2015 to the present

I served on the BSA Deseret Peak District Council from 1994 to 1999

City of Grantsville Service

I served on the Grantsville City Council from 2008 to 2011 and 2012 to the present.

I worked with the city budget to get Grantsville back on solid financial footing after the city experienced some financial difficulty.

I worked to protect neighborhoods from unnecessary intrusion by developers.
